For years I have been working in the field of energy, climate change and sustainability. I have years of experience in the UN working on policy, but also in academia as a senior researcher with a more recent focus on the energy transition. More and more over the last few years I have been using participatory approaches in my research such as design thinking, and I am now working with this approach to help companies develop new business models and innovative products. As Project Manager at HEIG-VD, HES-SO, I am applying such methods, as well as other qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand in particular what are key framework conditions for a successful energy transition based on business model innovation and reconfiguration.
Currently I am also exploring the application of design thinking to help people increase motivation and stimulate changes in organizations, starting with a change in mentality that results in increased trust, information sharing, creativity and teamwork - one of the keys towards more productive and effective business development, as well as educational experiences for young people.
