At World Efficiency Solutions, the first international meeting of the low-carbon economy (Porte de Versailles in Paris from December 12 to 14, 2017), CIRIDD spoke on behalf of the international network of circular economy platforms.
About the Network:
The International circular economy network was launched on the web in 2015. It provides a forum for promoting projects and meeting the people involved. In 2017, feedback from over 380 projects and as many project promoters (companies, local authorities and associations) in different areas were brought to light. The Network has 2700 members. Around the EconomieCirculaire.org platform, the local platforms, ECLAIRA in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Genie.ch in the Canton of Geneva, RECITA in Nouvelle Aquitaine and the Normandy circular economy platform NECI form an ecosystem capable of creating local momentum through multi-stakeholder cooperation and the optimization of local human, natural and technological resources, cooperating and taking action.

On Wednesday 13 December from 10.30 to 11.30, François-Michel Lambert (Institut national de l’économie circulaire), Bernd Dittmann (EESC) and Denis Cocconcelli (CIRIDD) will lead the workshop “Building the circular economy networks, from local level to the European platform for circular economy stakeholders” (Location of the workshop: Workshop Africa).

Description of the workshop
Moving to the circular economy requires the cooperation of all stakeholders in society (public authorities, companies, local authorities, universities and research centres, citizens, etc.) to change the way we produce and consume. The development of collaborative platforms makes it easier for people to network, duplicate existing best practice and bring to light innovative projects and business models. This workshop will present the network of French circular economy platforms and the European platform for circular economy stakeholders launched by the European CESE and the European Commission.
